Headline was retained to provide PR support around the opening of Boclair House Hotel, following an investment of £3m transforming the iconic Grade B listed building, into one of Scotland’s most prestigious hotels and exclusive-use wedding venues.

Objective: To generate awareness of this stunning new hotel, its facilities and availability as an exclusive-use wedding / special occasion venue

Activity: Included inviting journalists, bloggers and other influencers to the VIP opening and a media campaign targeting news, trade and lifestyle journalists and bloggers with news and feature storylines around the opening

Headline prepared a list of guests to invite to the VIP opening, which included newspaper, TV & radio reporters, food & hospitality journalists, lifestyle & wedding magazines editors, specialist bloggers plus other influencers and VIPs.

Set up an interview with the MD which ran in The Herald’s business pages a few days before the opening

Set up preview for local newspaper Milngavie & Bearsden Herald

Social Pages – Issued photographs from the opening to the compilers of Social Pages in Scottish Woman, No 1, Scottish Field, The Herald, The Evening Times

Trade & Specialist Press  – provided detailed information and set up interviews with Boutique Hotelier, The Dram and SLTN

Digital –  in conjunction with the Milganvie & Bearsden Herald set up an competition appealing for wedding photographs taken in the  grounds of Boclair House Hotel over the last 50 years, which were posted on the Hotel’s Facebook page.

Reviews – set up review visits for a number of key Food, Wedding and Lifestyle Bloggers and Journalists

Fashion – set up 8 page fashion feature in TheHerald photographed at the Hotel

Weddings – set up featured in No 1, Scottish Woman, Scottish Wedding Directory and Tie the Knot.

Just after the opening Boclair House Hotel 67 weddings and special occasions booked, over the following 18 months.
